Peppermint is used in the production of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, in confectionery for flavoring sweets, syrups, chewing gum, in the kitchen – for sauces, in the American kitchen – for flavoring tomato juice, in vegetable salads. Suitable for seasoning fried lamb, chicken steaks, stewed cabbage, carrots, peas, leeks. Also suitable for tasting cutlets baked from vegetables, fish marinades, cheese. Green or dried peppermint leaves can be added to curd or meat dumplings, to flavor salads, soups, to make tea. Goes well with juniper berries, all mild herbs.
