Melissa herbal tea or melissa (lat. Melissa officinalis). Common in South and Southeast Europe. It is popularly called bee grass. Melissa has a characteristic lemon smell. It is used in cooking as a spice, its fresh leaves can be used to flavor sauces, soups or meat dishes. In ancient Greece and Rome, the temples of Artemis or Diana, the goddess of the hunt, always contained fragrant lemon balm leaves and flowers.
