Melissa herbal tea or melissa (Lat. Melissa officinalis). Widespread in Southern and Southeastern Europe. It is popularly called bee grass. Melissa has a characteristic lemon scent. Used in cooking as a spice, its fresh leaves can be used to flavor sauces, soups or meat dishes. In ancient Greece and Rome, the temples of the goddess of hunting Artemis or Diana always had fragrant lemon leaves and flowers.
